COLLEGE ESSAY WRITING INTENSIVE
This isn’t just an essay. It’s a chance to cut through the noise of college-entrance applications at your top-choice schools. It’s a chance to add an artistic and human flair to what may be a dreaded endeavor. It’s a chance to shine on the page. You are memorable. Let’s make sure your writing is, too!
In this 4 hour intensive (session 1: August 1st, 2pm-4pm; session 2: August 8th, 2pm-4pm), hone the storytelling techniques you already possess to target what is clear, essential, and individual. The class will focus on our use of abstractions versus details, generalizations versus specifics and how your precise story highlights your paradigm, personality, and work ethic. We will spend time with pre-existing essays that showcase how to say who you are without extra fluff. Bring a notebook, your favorite pen (or pencil), and let’s get writing toward your YES!
