Avenue Q Audition Announcement
Directed by Alex Leavell & Andrew Sherman
Music Direction by Christy Maloney & Peter Klopfenstein
ABOUT THE SHOW
Avenue Q is a Tony Award-winning musical that blends puppetry and live actors to tell a hilarious and heartfelt coming-of-age story. Set in a shabby New York City neighborhood, the show follows Princeton, a recent college grad, as he navigates adulthood, relationships, and finding his purpose. With catchy songs and satirical humor, Avenue Q tackles real-life issues like jobs, love, and identity—with a twist of irreverence and charm.
Please Note: Due to the mature themes and content of the show, all auditioners must be 18 years of age or older and out of high school.
PREPARE: Please prepare a 32 bar selection from that you have fun performing and shows off your personality, physicality, and playfulness, as well as vocal strengths. If you would like to perform a piece from Avenue Q, you are more than welcome to. Accompaniment will be provided. There will also be a speaker if you prefer the use of tracks.
